MANIA MANIA.

You may or may not of already heard about Mania Mania but they're new to me, so I thought I'd add them to the category of jewellery obsession.

Another Australian Jewellery brand inspired by cultural references Mania Mania definitely carries an essensce of magic and guess what, I've fallen in love. The journey began 4 years ago in 2009 when Australian art director and stylist Melanie Kamsler & Tamila Purvis joined forces and created some beautiful works of art. Pricey but what do you expect when its worn by celebrities like Cara Delevingne and Alexa Chung. Time to jump on the band wagon and select some pieces for the box of jewels.

Taking crystals to a new extreme! How cool is this soap?!

Completely inspired, A little bit Obsessed.

Well I recently stumbled across Shop Dixi and Spell & The Gypsy Collective and I have literally become obsessed. The products are amazing and have really inspired me to want to make my own jewellery and have my own boutique. Not even kidding I want my own boutique when I finish university - wish it was that easy. Have I mentioned I'm a little obsessed with jewellery before?

All this silver, turquoise stones, feathers, crystals and driftwood is making me feel really inspired. I don't know what it is about australian brands but they just seem to have something that we don't here in the UK and if we do then can someone please hook me up? Apart from Shop Dixi of course, who definitely have the whole magical australian vibe going on right here in the UK. The brand themselves informed me that part of their look book was actually shot in Australia as I honestly didn't know much about their background but maybe thats why the brand feels so mysterious? Definitely plan on stocking my jewellery box up with Dixi jewels!

Urban Outfitters is probably one of the closest things we have on the high street that stocks australian brands however I would love to visit a Spell store just because the interior and presentation looks amazing, its such a shame that we don't have one in this country. We do however stock Spell & The Gypsy Creative in some UK boutiques Amelie BoutiqueThe Pretty Junk & The Native State and there is also the option of buying online. I wish I wasn't a student because I just want every single product!

If you don't already follow these guys on Instagram I would 100% recommend that you do.

United Nude.

Shoes in a world of their own, United Nude stand out from the crowd with incredible structure and colour. The brand was co-founded by architect Rem D Koolhaas and shoemaker Galahad Clark, (also a member of the family that founded Clarks shoes).

I first came across United Nude when my house mate brought home a pair from her internship at Volt Magazine during London Fashion Week. They were the craziest yet coolest shoes I had ever come across and I had forgot all about them until I came across this store in Covent Garden, London. The store was as cool as the shoes and it was like walking into an exhibition surrounded by footwear that could pass for art in every colour you could imagine. The brand has created some amazing collaborations, I'd recommend checking them out for yourself by visiting their store or going on their website, www.unitednude.com.

Would you dare to wear United Nude?

Ink.

Sooo... I got a tattoo. Which I can't quite come to terms with considering that I never really used to like them but it was for a good cause and we all change our minds from time to time.

Anyway it all started with trying to find a tattoo I really liked and I decided that if I'm going to have one I'd personally prefer to have one that has some kind of meaning behind it because it is going to be there forever after all. So I'd been thinking about it for quite some time but when I went to stay in my family home in manchester for a week to get my braces tightened (yes, I have braces at the age of 20) I realised that Manchester isn't always going to be home. My family is moving to Australia without me and I'm growing up and wanting to be independent. So yeah, I got a tattoo and this was the outcome...

Did it hurt? seems to be the first thing people seem to ask when it comes to my tattoo. I'm not going to lie it did hurt, especially on the bone as it was along my ribs but you kind of get used to it. The worst part was when the tattooist went over the bits she had already done, GOD HELP anyone that has a tattoo with a lot of shading is all i can say! After 20 minutes of hell it seems to be healing really well and only stung for about an hour afterwards and all i kept saying is "I feel like I have a carpet burn on my side!"but it wasn't as bad as i thought, I don't think.

Covent Garden

Necklace, Rings & Sandals - Topshop,  Trousers - Vintage, Bag - Cambridge Satchel,
 Leather Jacket - Miss Selfridge

A new year at University means one thing - new projects. Mine happens to be based on Covent Garden in London. Its the perfect place for shopping whether your looking for high street stores, luxury pop ups or quirky market stalls. There's also plenty of cocktail bars and delicious restaurants all surrounded by street entertainers and a sense of magical history. So lets hope I don't get bored of the place by the time it's hand in because it quite possibly may just be one of my favourite places to visit!

Create your own fragrance on the Apple Market perfume stall - cheeky gift idea.

Absolutely LOVE these paintings, nothing like a classic scene from a film. The choices are never ending but these were my faves and I couldn't help but sneak one direction on there, ( Come on I know your a secret fan too).

Wish List

(all linked so you can have a better look)

So I know a wish list is all stereo typical but most of us love to browse the internet to look at clothes that would fit snug into their wardrobe. Its autumn here in the UK but its beginning to feel a lot like winter which means two things, I NEED a new coat and new boots. After looking for hours I finally decided to order a new pair of chelsea boots because I practically lived in my little heeled babies last year. I have decided to go for a flat pair this year as they will be a bit more practical for university and long days shopping of course. Finally thinking straight now that I'm a third year - took me long enough. However I'm pretty sure that another pair of boots will pop up eventually; not so practical. Looks like I'l also be needing a pair of skinny jeans rolled up with a minimalistic top to match and I LOVED this baby blue, it will look perfect with a necklace from my rather large collection! (The more I write on this blog the more you realise how much I actually love jewellery, especially rings and necklaces)... So no harm in buying one more I guess! As for the coat that is the one thing I'm struggling to decide on this year so maybe I will keep browsing for another one... I'll make sure I keep you updated.
