Paris.

Apologies guys, for the HUGE delay on updating Crystal Prophecy. However I do have a pretty good excuse, I've had a ridiculous amount of uni work to get through and I have been to Paris, Twice.

After all the hard work my trips to Paris was AMA-ZING! The first visit was with the girls for my friends 21st and the second was slightly more romantic and extremely christmassy with the boyfriend.

Whilst in Paris I visited Disney Land...

Both times of course.

If your an adrenaline junkie like me, then you might be a little bit disappointed to discover that the theme park has no more then 3 big rides and is slightly ruined by everything being in french unless you can understand the language which unfortunately I can't. However the Disney theme made the day magical and brings all the childhood memories flooding back.

The first time I went to Euro Disney, I was 7 years old. It was my birthday and I genuinely believed that I was going to Blackpool with my Mum, Nana & Great Nana. The little witches told me that Grandad was going to drive us to Blackpool from home in Manchester but he had to work so we had to fly there instead. Which I believed, Even though Blackpool is an hours drive away from Manchester. Gullible much? Nothing changes! Anyway when we got to the airport my mum gave me a luggage label to wrap round my Tinker-bell suitcase and I cried with happiness when I realised that I was actually on my way to Disney Land Paris.

This was the first time I had visited disney land since I was a little girl and I discovered that the park is nowhere near as big as what I thought but it was still worth every minute. If you ever visit Disney Land in Paris, make sure you stay till the very end to see the firework display and show that is projected on to the castle - its the best part of the day and only started this year for the theme parks 20th anniversary.

Whilst in Paris with the boyfriend, I also became the biggest tourist and visited the Eiffel Tower, The Notre Dame, Champs Elysees, Arc De Triomph and The Louvre Museum - The home of the original Mona Lisa.

Before even getting to the hotel me and my boyfriend ended up getting on a bus and got off randomly to find something to eat. When we got off the bus we turned around to find that the eiffel tower was right behind us so we sat on a bench and had a chicken and cheese panini, definitely the best way to start the trip. But of course we couldn't stay long, we had to somehow find the hotel and check in (the transport system is a little hard to get used to at first). A few days later we visited the Eiffel tower for the second time and went all the way to the top. The views up there were something else, even if you don't like heights it's worth it. I was quite surprised to find it even has a cafe, shops and a toilet up there! But make sure you wrap up warm because its extremely cold at the top, in fact paris in general is COLD.

When we came down from the eiffel tower it turned dark and down the road there was a christmas market where we had a good giggle at the ice skaters and a few mulled wines all in perfect view of the tower. The Champs Elysees is also another area that is packed with christmas stalls. Paris really is a great place to visit at this time of the year.

Whilst in Paris my boyfriend and I decided to give each other some of our christmas presents as it is our first Christmas together. I was given a gorgeous black fur coat from Topshop and some boots from Office as well as a Pandora Charm, A Pandora Ring and a padlock that he had made especially for the love lock bridge (I didn't know he had it in him). If you don't know what the Love Lock Bridge is, it's a bridge in paris where people write on locks and leave on the bridge to lock their love forever more. The lock my boyfriend had made was engraved just for us and had no key so once that it was locked, it was locked - forever.

At the beginning of this year I had the great pleasure of being an intern at Emslie Creative PR and was kindly asked back to help out with their press day at Hush in Mayfair, London!

MANIA MANIA.

You may or may not of already heard about Mania Mania but they're new to me, so I thought I'd add them to the category of jewellery obsession.

Another Australian Jewellery brand inspired by cultural references Mania Mania definitely carries an essensce of magic and guess what, I've fallen in love. The journey began 4 years ago in 2009 when Australian art director and stylist Melanie Kamsler & Tamila Purvis joined forces and created some beautiful works of art. Pricey but what do you expect when its worn by celebrities like Cara Delevingne and Alexa Chung. Time to jump on the band wagon and select some pieces for the box of jewels.

Taking crystals to a new extreme! How cool is this soap?!

Completely inspired, A little bit Obsessed.

Well I recently stumbled across Shop Dixi and Spell & The Gypsy Collective and I have literally become obsessed. The products are amazing and have really inspired me to want to make my own jewellery and have my own boutique. Not even kidding I want my own boutique when I finish university - wish it was that easy. Have I mentioned I'm a little obsessed with jewellery before?

All this silver, turquoise stones, feathers, crystals and driftwood is making me feel really inspired. I don't know what it is about australian brands but they just seem to have something that we don't here in the UK and if we do then can someone please hook me up? Apart from Shop Dixi of course, who definitely have the whole magical australian vibe going on right here in the UK. The brand themselves informed me that part of their look book was actually shot in Australia as I honestly didn't know much about their background but maybe thats why the brand feels so mysterious? Definitely plan on stocking my jewellery box up with Dixi jewels!

Urban Outfitters is probably one of the closest things we have on the high street that stocks australian brands however I would love to visit a Spell store just because the interior and presentation looks amazing, its such a shame that we don't have one in this country. We do however stock Spell & The Gypsy Creative in some UK boutiques Amelie BoutiqueThe Pretty Junk & The Native State and there is also the option of buying online. I wish I wasn't a student because I just want every single product!

If you don't already follow these guys on Instagram I would 100% recommend that you do.

I was recently nominated for the Blogging Liebster Award by Gemma and I must admit I have taken my time to write this post because I have been soo busy with uni work! but I am extremely grateful as I didn't expect to get so much response in such a short period of time since creating my blog.

Hair.

Having short hair is a nightmare. Like most women all I want is for my hair to grow back. Its at that typical weird length where it's in the middle and all I ever want to do is put it up. When I wear my hair up I tend to make it look a bit messy and add a few plaits or put a big bow around my ponytail bobble. However I must admit one of my favourite styling products is the Babyliss big hair hot brush. My hair has been so much more healthy since I started using it and it gives my flat frizzy hair, volume and life! It also saves a lot of time and effort as it dry's your hair and leaves you with a stylish result without needing to whip the straighteners out. I would 100% recommend them for all hair lengths!

United Nude.

Shoes in a world of their own, United Nude stand out from the crowd with incredible structure and colour. The brand was co-founded by architect Rem D Koolhaas and shoemaker Galahad Clark, (also a member of the family that founded Clarks shoes).

I first came across United Nude when my house mate brought home a pair from her internship at Volt Magazine during London Fashion Week. They were the craziest yet coolest shoes I had ever come across and I had forgot all about them until I came across this store in Covent Garden, London. The store was as cool as the shoes and it was like walking into an exhibition surrounded by footwear that could pass for art in every colour you could imagine. The brand has created some amazing collaborations, I'd recommend checking them out for yourself by visiting their store or going on their website, www.unitednude.com.

Would you dare to wear United Nude?

Ink.

Sooo... I got a tattoo. Which I can't quite come to terms with considering that I never really used to like them but it was for a good cause and we all change our minds from time to time.

Anyway it all started with trying to find a tattoo I really liked and I decided that if I'm going to have one I'd personally prefer to have one that has some kind of meaning behind it because it is going to be there forever after all. So I'd been thinking about it for quite some time but when I went to stay in my family home in manchester for a week to get my braces tightened (yes, I have braces at the age of 20) I realised that Manchester isn't always going to be home. My family is moving to Australia without me and I'm growing up and wanting to be independent. So yeah, I got a tattoo and this was the outcome...

Did it hurt? seems to be the first thing people seem to ask when it comes to my tattoo. I'm not going to lie it did hurt, especially on the bone as it was along my ribs but you kind of get used to it. The worst part was when the tattooist went over the bits she had already done, GOD HELP anyone that has a tattoo with a lot of shading is all i can say! After 20 minutes of hell it seems to be healing really well and only stung for about an hour afterwards and all i kept saying is "I feel like I have a carpet burn on my side!"but it wasn't as bad as i thought, I don't think.

Covent Garden

Necklace, Rings & Sandals - Topshop,  Trousers - Vintage, Bag - Cambridge Satchel,
 Leather Jacket - Miss Selfridge

A new year at University means one thing - new projects. Mine happens to be based on Covent Garden in London. Its the perfect place for shopping whether your looking for high street stores, luxury pop ups or quirky market stalls. There's also plenty of cocktail bars and delicious restaurants all surrounded by street entertainers and a sense of magical history. So lets hope I don't get bored of the place by the time it's hand in because it quite possibly may just be one of my favourite places to visit!

Create your own fragrance on the Apple Market perfume stall - cheeky gift idea.

Absolutely LOVE these paintings, nothing like a classic scene from a film. The choices are never ending but these were my faves and I couldn't help but sneak one direction on there, ( Come on I know your a secret fan too).

Wish List

(all linked so you can have a better look)

So I know a wish list is all stereo typical but most of us love to browse the internet to look at clothes that would fit snug into their wardrobe. Its autumn here in the UK but its beginning to feel a lot like winter which means two things, I NEED a new coat and new boots. After looking for hours I finally decided to order a new pair of chelsea boots because I practically lived in my little heeled babies last year. I have decided to go for a flat pair this year as they will be a bit more practical for university and long days shopping of course. Finally thinking straight now that I'm a third year - took me long enough. However I'm pretty sure that another pair of boots will pop up eventually; not so practical. Looks like I'l also be needing a pair of skinny jeans rolled up with a minimalistic top to match and I LOVED this baby blue, it will look perfect with a necklace from my rather large collection! (The more I write on this blog the more you realise how much I actually love jewellery, especially rings and necklaces)... So no harm in buying one more I guess! As for the coat that is the one thing I'm struggling to decide on this year so maybe I will keep browsing for another one... I'll make sure I keep you updated.

Inspiration

So the other night I happened to come across the film Alfie, I must admit Jude Law did tempt me into that one because he's sent from the heavens but apart from that why did I never notice how HOT Jude Law and Sienna Miller were as a couple? I mean I knew they were hot but after watching this film I seem to have gained a girl crush for Sienna Miller that I didn't realise existed. Looking past the crazy character, The styling of Sienna's hair and make-up is to die for and reminded me of Bridget Bardot, who was also an absolute babe back in the 60s! These girls just make me so jealous because once upon time I had long blonde locks that got chopped off, an absolute hair dresser disaster but I won't go into that one. Anyway I am fully aware that I am behind on the times and that the couple headlined the celebrity gossip world once upon a time but I just had to sneak them on here somewhere ...

P.S why is that guys automatically think you want a lesbian experience when you say a supermodel or  actress is fit? I am forever trying to explain to my boyfriend that a girl crush is more a long the lines of "I want to look like her!" Just thought I'd clear that one up! :)
